"Nothing changes the gender equation more significantly than women's economic freedom." ~ Gloria Steinem “In the nineteenth century, the central moral challenge was slavery. In the twentieth century, it was the battle against totalitarianism. We believe that in this century the paramount moral challenge will be the struggle for gender equality around the world. ” ― Nicholas D. Kristof Here some facts and data about gender equality can be discussed  Gender inequality still exists in India within the households, workplaces, and in the larger society. As per 2011 data, effective literacy rates (age 7 and above) were 82.14% for men and 65.46% for women. Talking about their rights is as important as that of women. #MenToo is as important as #MeToo Since the Nirbhaya gang-rape case in 2012, there have been faster convictions and stringent actions taken against the rape accused. There has also, however, been an increase in the number of false ra...

Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world.  In a society, everyone has the right to lead his/her life accordingly without any discrimination. When this state is achieved where all individuals are considered to be equal irrespective of their caste, gender, color, profession, and status, we call it equality. The most prevalent discrimination is gender inequality . Even in progressive societies and top organizations, we can see many examples of gender bias. Gender equality can only be achieved when both male and female individuals are treated similarly . Here we can understand more about gender disparity/equality by below video ( Muskaan ¦ Animated Short Film on Gender Equality and Female Foeticide )
